Created between 2021 and 2022, this sculptural installation explores the emotional weight we carry and the ways in which our feelings remain interconnected.

At its centre, a large fabricated rock is held within a sweeping black structure that bends and curves beneath its apparent weight. Extending outward on either side, the structure becomes two elongated frames containing intricate hand-drawn compositions. Within these drawings, figures, gestures and emotions gather closely together—each state touching, influencing and giving way to another.

The rock acts as a physical embodiment of life’s pressures: memory, responsibility, uncertainty and experience. Its presence appears to distort the frame, transforming a rigid boundary into something fluid and responsive. Yet rather than collapsing, the structure adapts around the weight it carries.

The work reflects how emotional life is shaped by forces both internal and external. No feeling exists entirely alone; joy can sit beside grief, hope beside fear, and strength beside vulnerability. Through the contrast between the dense central mass and the delicate detail of the drawings, the installation presents emotion as both fragile and remarkably resilient—capable of absorbing pressure, changing form and continuing onward.
